In the distance, a line of mailboxes on the side of the road, whose houses can be glimpsed hundreds of meters away amidst the dust and heat.

Theese are the last human traces before the destination.
After another hundred miles, there it is! the plant that makes this part of the Mojave Desert famous.

It's not a cactus, it's not a tree, it's called Joshua Tree.
Each with its shape, its sinuosity, its strength. At sunset the different silhouettes surround the tent, as if to protect us from the wind and rattlesnakes.
